| (Houston, Texas) — Students at Jack Yates High School in Houston who achieved outstanding performance levels this year in standardized tests recently were rewarded with silver coins donated by three Texas rare coin dealers. | In September 2010 the Royal Australian Mint will host the International Mint Directors Conference (MDC 2010) in Canberra. A $30,000 grant from Tourism Australia will facilitate the participation of delegates from regional countries such as Tonga, Papua New Guinea and Bangladesh. The funding, which was secured in partnership with the Canberra Convention Bureau, will assist in showcasing Australia to its international delegates and further boost tourism dollars in the Australian economy. He will be active in managing employee operations as well as collector, dealer and investor relations for the company at coin shows and financial conferences around the country as well as at the company's offices located at 8015 Irvine Center Drive, Suite 440, in Irvine, California. | Gauntlets in Flight Good Morning, Record prices have a way of engendering profit-taking, and this time was no different. Whether the temptation to skim some chips off a profit-rich gaming table remains the order of the day(s) as we head towards the weekend remains to be seen. The proposal to institute an EU-wide ban on short-selling lifted equities in Europe and pulled the euro up to just over 1.20 — a to-be-watched pivot point- this morning. The above combination of factors could become the dominant theme for the next couple of days. That said, record prices also have a way of attracting latecomers who pile into an asset feeling that the train is leaving the station. | The United States Mint on Tuesday announced the start of the America the Beautiful Quarters™ Bulk Purchase Program. This new service offers businesses interested in buying large volumes of the new quarter-dollars a chance to order them directly from the U.S. Mint.  2010 America the Beautiful Quarters The term "large volumes" could be a bit of an understatement. Details of the plan show that the minimum order is one (1) bulk bag which will contain 200,000 quarter dollars worth $50,000. On top of the $50,000 price tag and to offset costs, the Mint will charge a three percent processing fee for each bag ordered which equates to $1,500 – for a total of $51,500 per bulk bag. (...)
