October 5, 2010 at 7:47 PM

up trend chartGold prices continue to surge forward with new records set nearly every day during the last two weeks. Now, the demand for the yellow metal will pull United States Mint collector gold coin prices higher, including those of the upcoming 2010 Proof Gold Eagles.

Pricing for the U.S. Mint's numismatic gold coins can change depending on the London Fix weekly gold average. The Mint last raised coin prices on September 15, 2010, when the average moved between $1,250.00 and $1,299.99 an ounce.(...)

Gold, Silver, Metal Prices Commentary – October 5, 2010
October 5, 2010 at 7:42 AM

GoldGood Morning,

Japan's 0.10 percent (!) rate 'cut' surprised and rattled currency, bond, and metals overnight markets more than any of its previous currency market intervention did. The BoJ effectively ran out of rate-tinkering ammo with this 'all stops removed' accommodation. The 'line in the sand' that is thought to be drawn around the value of the yen vis a vis the dollar at the 82-mark came into question once again, and so did the speculation that there might still be currency market intervention missiles being loaded into the BoJ's cannons. Behold the bets being placed under such turbulent conditions:(...)
