The U.S. Mint will release the Mount Hood National Forest Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin beginning at noon Eastern Time on Thursday, July 28, 2011. Its opening price will be $279.95, although the Mint indicates that could change should precious metals prices swing significantly. The reverse, designed by Phebe Hemphill, features a scene of Lost Lake with Mount Hood in the background. |
