 During its first full week of availability, sales of the 2012 American Buffalo Gold Proof Coin increased 1,580 to a total of 5,690 Collectors and investors are taking somewhat of a break in buying numismatic and bullion coins from the United States Mint, the latest sales figures from the bureau show. The range of overall activity for collector products was down just a bit with 23 outperforming their prior weekly sales versus 24 from before and, more telling, demand for the more popular products declined significantly.
