Here is part two on an article series on collecting moderncommemorative coins. Some attention is given to the series of First Spouse Gold Coins, which have experienced unexpected sell outs and low mintages.
On Monday, the United States Mint will begin sales of the 2011 Gold Buffalo bullion coins. The release comes earlier than the prior two years and the Mint indicates that there will be a "sufficient quantity" of coins available.

Lawmakers in Utah approved a bill that would recognize gold and silver as legal tender in the state, as well as exempt them from capital gains tax. The bill will be send to the governor for his signature.
